Job Description

Are you a chemistry professional with a strong regulatory & compliance background looking to make a tangible impact in a fast-growing and innovative Swiss material science company

Were looking for a Regulatory/Compliance and Product Stewardship Specialist to join our team and manage product stewardship of our textile auxiliaries for the woven non-woven and knits industries and support new developments in the plastics and leather sectors to ensure global compliance with prevailing norms. This is a part-time (4060%) on-site role based in Pfffikon SZ.

Tasks

What Youll Do:

  • Develop and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) in compliance with GHS and REACH standards
  • Identify chemical components affected by upcoming regulatory bans and restrictions
  • Support Innovation and R&D teams in risk assessments and compliance for hazardous substances
  • Guide supply chain and operations teams in shipping hazardous materials across global jurisdictions
  • Stay ahead of and ensure compliance with key global regulations: REACH BPR Prop 65 TSCA POP etc
  • Provide support for certification processes (e.g. Bluesign ZDHC GOTS AFIRM) in collaboration with our contract manufacturers in Switzerland and India
  • Develop product stewardship documentation in line with these certifications and global quality control standards e.g. ISO 9001
  • Liaise with stakeholders to resolve shipping bottlenecks and jurisdictional compliance challenges in Asia EU and the Americas

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Masters degree in Chemistry
  • Solid hands-on experience in chemical regulatory compliance
  • Experience with materials compliance and familiarity with the textile & non woven industries is a plus
  • Exposure to quality management standards like ISO 9001
  • Strong understanding of hazardous goods shipping and related legal frameworks
  • Familiarity with global certification processes in textile-related industries
  • Fluent in English with a good command of German
  • Proactive mindset strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
