Job Description
Are you a passionate Hybrid Cloud Engineer with a strong VMware background Do you thrive on innovation and have a burning passion for VMware If so this role is perfect for you! Join our dynamic infrastructure team dedicated to integrating data into the Azure cloud environment while supporting legacy infrastructure on-premises based on VMware servers and Active Directory.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage VMware Environment: Take primary responsibility for the internal VMware environment.
- Implement Hybrid IT Solutions: Integrate various cloud services with traditional data center services.
- Migrate Legacy Applications: Transition legacy applications to public cloud services.
- Automate Infrastructure: Use infrastructure-as-code and configuration management to automate processes.
- Streamline Processes: Improve and streamline existing processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT Teams: Ensure cloud-native workloads are deployed according to best practices for security governance identity and access management and monitoring.
- Mentor Staff: Guide existing staff on cloud computing best practices and technology to drive cloud adoption.
Requirements
Requirements:
- VMware Expertise: Extensive experience in managing and maintaining ESXi environments based on VMware.
- Broad Infrastructure Skills: Strong background in infrastructure particularly with Windows Server Active Directory and Entra.
- Cloud Platform Experience: Initial experience with cloud platforms preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Experience with infrastructure-as-code (preferably Terraform) and CI/CD workflows and Git is a plus.
- Proactive and Ambitious: Eager to learn and respond to technical issues professionally and promptly.
- Integration Skills: Proven ability to ensure interoperability of new and existing systems.
