About the role
We are seeking a strategic yet hands-on Product Owner to lead our CORE (SICS) platformMS Reinsurances central system for contract management claims technical accounting and treaty administration. You will own the product roadmap and operations ensuring the platform evolves with business needs while maintaining high performance availability and compliance. As the key contact for internal users and external vendors youll ensure effective collaboration clear communication and robust change governance.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the SICS platform roadmap aligning strategic direction with operational needs
- Prioritise and manage the product backlog with a balanced focus on business and technical input
- Support SLA delivery through proactive monitoring issue follow-up and vendor collaboration
- Coordinate platform maintenance upgrades and service pack deployments with IT and partners
- Facilitate incident resolution root cause identification and continuous improvement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for user support (Finance Underwriting Claims Middle Office) ensuring feedback is heard and acted upon
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with vendors supporting alignment and delivery
Your profile
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or Business Administration
- 5 years of experience as a Product Owner in agile environments (SAFe Scrum or Kanban)
- Solid understanding of reinsurance processes including technical accounting claims and treaty management
- Practical experience with reinsurance platforms (SICS preferred or systems like DXC or SAP FS-RI)
- Familiar with system integration data flows and enterprise IT environments
- Proven ability to manage backlogs coordinate stakeholders and deliver cross-functional outcomes
- Strong communicator with a collaborative approach to bridging business and technical teams
- Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
