Our team supports Axpos energy trading business with mission-critical IT position management and scheduling IT solutions. We are in the midst of a fascinating transformation process driven by global trends market shifts and current energy challenges. Our IT solutions must evolve to manage increasing complexity speed and data volume. To strengthen our team we are seeking a young motivated individual to help elevate our solutions to the next level.
This role is ideal for talented junior application engineer or technical business analyst eager to enter the energy industry. Your drive and energy will enable you to quickly gain insights into our business and IT solutions making a direct impact.
What you will do:
- Manage business-critical software applications around position management and scheduling
- Support the team in day-to-day operations improve existing processes and technical solutions and contribute to application-related projects
- Work closely with business stakeholders to get the end-to-end process understanding propose technical solutions by collaborating with external vendors and Axpos internal experts
- Show your sense of responsibility tech savviness and your team player attitude
What you bring & who you are:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in IT engineering economics or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience as application engineer technical Business analyst or similar role
- Solid understanding of software development system engineering and IT architecture
- Excellent analytical skills and collaborative agile team player
- Fluent in English and German (mandatory)
- One or more of the following are a big plus
- Experience in the energy sector and/or in trading
- Familiarity in agile methodologies preferably as Product Owner
- Knowledge of software development and testing preferably in Java or Python
- Experience with Azure Cloud infrastructure
About the team:
You will be part of a very dedicated team which takes responsibility for critical IT applications short-term (operations) and long-term (projects). We collaborate very closely with business stakeholders IT architects developers on-premises and Azure infrastructure system engineers and application vendors to get the most business value out of our IT applications.
