We are looking for an experienced strategically minded and forward-thinking Lead of Sales (m/w/d): Your focus will be on successfully supporting our customers through the optimal sales channels (direct sales sales partners sugar industry). You will implement the strategic goals and action plans of the Head of Country and ensure sustainable profitable sales and earnings growth. At the same time you will actively shape the transformation process of our sales team into a customer-oriented organization that covers the entire KWS portfolio in Austria.

We offer you a permanent full-time position with plenty of creative freedom a hybrid working model (home office & location in the St. Plten area) and the opportunity to help shape a leading seed brand in Austria in a modern international environment.


Your tasks:

  • Leading developing and continuously coaching a dedicated sales team
  • Planning coordinating and implementing all KWS sales activities in Austria across the entire product portfolio
  • Responsibility for budget and sales development
  • Developing contract terms and target agreements in close coordination with the Head of Country
  • Driving the transformation to a customer-centric organization

Your profile:

  • Degree in agricultural sciences agricultural economics or a comparable field or several years of experience in sales management and personnel management
  • Proven track record in direct sales and in establishing and managing sales partner networks
  • In-depth understanding of the agricultural industry and market dynamics in Austria
  • Experience in budget planning and control as well as responsibility for results
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and results-oriented action
  • High customer orientation and experience in stakeholder management
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Very good German and English skills
  • Class B drivers license and willingness to travel (up to 50% mainly in Central and Eastern Europe in addition to Austria)
