Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum high school graduate GED or equivalent work experience
- Eligible for employment in the US
- At least three (3) years of work experience as a Millwright
Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
- Work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot dusty/dirty around hazardous chemicals noise heavy machinery elevated working surfaces and confined spaces (with proper safety training and safety protection)
- Undergo technical online testing interview and a formal hands-on assessment of skills
- Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment
- Undergo an job related health assessment as a condition of employment
- Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
- Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
- Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification
- Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
- Wear required safety equipment
It is preferred that candidates have the following skills and/or experience(s):
- Associates degree or certification(s) as a Millwright
- A minimum of 3 years work experience as a Millwright
- Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
The Job You Will Perform:
This position will assist journeymen-level mechanical maintenance technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently. Our world class Global Manufacturing Training program provides paid hands-on experiences and classroom instruction in order to prepare you for your next promotion
Duties include but are not limited to:
Millwright
- Install machine and equipment according to lay-out plan blueprints and other drawings
- Align machines and equipment using hoists jacks hand tools dial indicators and laser alignment equipment
- Install machinery new and existing equipment
- Repair and lubricate machine and equipment
- Refurbish/maintain valves pumps gear boxes bearings agitators conveyors turbines paper machines lime kill
- Measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters
- Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues
- Fabricate structural materials as needed
- Other duties as assigned
