Who you are:
As a Pharmacy Intake Coordinator for Johns Hopkins Health Plans you are the first point of contact for the Pharmacy Review department. You have outstanding interpersonal skills and enjoy helping people over the phone. You are a problem solver with excellent time management.
What youll do:
- Receive incoming calls from members and providers regarding prior authorization status denial follow-up pharmacy/member inquiries regarding rejected claims etc.
- Appropriately document calls authorization notes and comments accurately in the EPIC CRM system
- Assist with internal and external mail and other administrative duties as assigned.
What youll bring:
- 2 years experience in an intake support and/or customer service role in managed care
- Pharmacy environment highly preferred
- Understanding of PBM claims processing and prior authorization
- Basic Knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT coding.
- Requires knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of prescription and over-the-counter drugs
- Excellent phone and interpersonal skills necessary to handle sensitive and confidential information andto interact with a diverse patient population providers and staff
- High school diploma or GED is required.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.11/hour - Maximum 28.26/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
