Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our Podar International School (CIE) at Nerul Mumbai on a full-time basis. This mid-level position requires a strong background in humanities education and teaching methodologies. Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years of teaching experience with a focus on fostering an empowering and integrated learning experience for students.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in lesson planning and creating engaging educational content for the subject of humanities.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain a conducive learning environment and effectively engage with students.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) system is considered essential for the role.
- Sound knowledge of humanities subjects enabling a comprehensive teaching approach tailored to diverse student profiles.
- Experience in curriculum development to align with institutional standards and student needs.
- Ability to incorporate collaborative learning techniques encouraging student interaction and teamwork.
- Proficiency in using innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance the educational experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a multicultural educational setting and adapt to diverse educational environments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the educational objectives of the Podar Education Network.
- Foster an engaging and positive classroom atmosphere conducive to student participation and learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress providing constructive feedback and support to maximize their academic performance.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure the implementation of best practices in teaching and assessment.
- Stay current with educational trends and integrate new strategies into the teaching curriculum where applicable.
- Organize and participate in faculty meetings professional development workshops and school events as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance grades and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and school initiatives.
