About the role
The KIS program provides additional funding to government-funded Victorian kindergartens to support the access and participation of children with disability or developmental delay and high support needs. Kindergartens can apply for additional support under one of the following programs:
The casual assessor is responsible for assessing applications from kindergarten services as per guidelines set by the Department of Education (DE) and determining the support to be provided to kindergartens.
Most applications are received during Terms 1 and 4 of each year. As such casual assessors must be able to flex their availability to respond to periods of peak application demand (Terms 1 & 4) however may also be required less frequently at other times of the year.
