Menzies is looking for a First Nations Research Officer to support the Communicate Study Partnership. The role offers flexibility to match your skills interests and career goals.

The Role:

Join the Communicate Study Partnership as a First Nations Research Officer and help drive meaningful change in healthcare. This role supports initiatives that strengthen culturally safe communication for First Nations peoples working closely with communities interpreters and healthcare providers. Youll contribute to data collection engagement and research translation in a collaborative respectful and impact-driven team. Be part of a nationally recognised partnership committed to improving health outcomes through culturally safe care.

About you:

Youre a motivated person with an interest in health research communication and improving healthcare experiences for First Nations peoples. You bring a respectful strengths-based approach to your work and youre comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team.

You will also bring:

  • Qualifications or relevant experience in health public health communication anthropology social sciences Indigenous studies or a related field.
  • Experience supporting research or projects including data collection research administration or coordination (through university community or workplace settings)
  • Strong writing skills for academic and non-academic audiences and an ability to support knowledge translation and community engagement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage respectfully with First Nations communities and health professionals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new data management and research tools.

The benefits:

Base salary $98237 per annum (Total remuneration package including superannuation $122183 per annum).

Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.

Salary packaging up to $15900 per annum and $2650 meal and entertainment card tax free.
