Job Description

Position Title:

Production Associate: Steam & Power

Pay Rate:

Production Associates will start at an entry level hourly rate of$23.49/hr. with opportunities for overtime. Following successful completion of certification associates can expect to make a minimum of $28.41/hr.

After an initial onboarding period the new hire will immediately begin a state-of-the-art training and certification program to allow potential rapid advancement to higher position and increased wages.

Average annual earning potential within the firstyear is $50000 the future is bright for ourtop operators who earn more than $45/hr.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Eligible for employment in the US.
  • Minimum high school graduate GED equivalent or equivalent work experience of 2 years.
  • Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
    • Operate or work in industrial conditions (the environment will be loud warm/hot and dusty/dirty. Employees work around hazardous chemicals heavy machinery and elevated working surfaces. The work includes repetitive motions (all employees receive proper safety training and safety protection).
    • Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment.
    • Undergo a job-related health assessment as a condition of employment.
    • Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment.
    • Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule.
    • Work overtime on a regular basis and with last-minute notification.
    • Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis.
    • Wear required safety equipment.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Operate and maintain Black Liquor Recovery Boilers Natural Gas/Biomass Boilers and Turbine Generators.
  • Manage the mills steam electrical and air systems for plant stability.
  • Operate the bark reclaimer system and water plant to supply demineralized water.
  • Load/unload raw materials (bark & oil trucks);
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and all safety protocols.
  • Safely handle hazardous chemicals.
  • You will start in an entry-level position and perform general physical activities.
  • Job functions may involve physical technical and mechanical ability in order to perform the following duties:
    • Climbing lifting balancing walking stooping and handling materials
    • Monitoring adjusting and controlling operating equipment
    • Conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Involves working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Pulp and Paper industry experience.
