Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our team ensuring the efficient movement storage and management of materials within our manufacturing facility. This is an opportunity to be part of a company committed to sustainability and innovation where your skills will directly contribute to the delivery of eco-friendly buses needed for cleaner transport.
Starting salary: $20.00/hour. Onsite work required 40 hours/week 10-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Thursday with potential for overtime on Friday and Saturday.
What You Will Do
- Lives and role models the company values and culture at all times
- Receive and inspect incoming materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of materials.
- Coordinate with production teams to understand material needs and schedules.
- Select and prepare materials for production processes efficiently and safely.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and products as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and assist with stock replenishment efforts
- Adhere to safety and quality standards in all handling and storage practices.
What You Need to be Successful
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proven experience in a material handling or warehouse role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software such as ERP/WMS systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Must be certified or become certified to use forklift equipment
- Capable of meeting the physical requirements:
- Regularly lift up to 10 lbs frequently up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs standing walking for extended periods performing repetitive tasks
