An exciting opportunity exists to work within the National Drug Intelligence Bureau (NDIB). The NDIB is a multi-agency workgroup comprised of representatives from the New Zealand Police New Zealand Customs Service and Manat Hauora (Ministry of Health). We are hosted by the National Intelligence Centre (NIC) at the Fusion Hub. Our purpose is to understand New Zealands illicit drug environment and provide strategic intelligence and advice to support the reduction of drug related harm by addressing both ends of the supply and demand spectrum.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic motivated and inquisitive Intelligence Analyst to join our team. This role could suit someone new to Intelligence or an experienced analyst wanting to work in a strategic and collaborative environment.
As an NDIB team member you will build knowledge and understanding of international and domestic illicit drug trends and how they may impact New Zealand or New Zealanders.
The ideal candidate will have a desire to work in dynamic multi-agency setting have a passion for reducing the harm caused by illicit drugs and have strong problem solving and communication skills. You need to be self-driven but also able to work collaboratively within your team and across agencies. We value the ability to convey complex problems in simple terms.

Utu -tau Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence at $87306 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
