Job Description
Mental Health Assistant - Intellectual Disability
- Wakari Hospital Permanent 0.6 FTE / 24 hours per week
- Salary $59024 - $74442 p.a prorate
- Free on-site parking

About the Role
The Intellectual Disability Service (IDS) is part of the Specialist Mental Health Services based at Wakari Hospital high above Dunedin. Our IDS comprises of three parts Ward 10a Medium secure forensic Intellectual Disability unit The step-down Cottage and the Community Liaison Team.
As a Mental Health Care Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Supporting our nurses and other members of the health care team
- Patient movement
- Patient cares as required
- Stock reconciliation
- Ward maintenance
- Patient watch/supervision with one-on-one care as required
