The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU)is a 32 bed adult inpatient surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floortelemetry and intermediate care for acute cardiac vascular and other surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Care and services provided: coronary artery bypass Heartmate II or III & Heartware mechanical circulatory support devices valve replacement or repairs Type A & B aortic dissections fem-pop bypass scalenectomy TAVR heart or lung transplantation. During the week there is an experienced resource nurse available to assist with admissions/discharges transport monitoring and emergencies. New graduate nurses will have a 14week comprehensive orientation and Nurse Residency Program. Registered Nurses (RNs) on this unit will participate in coredepartment of surgery and critical careclasses.
All New Graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in our yearlong accredited Nurse Residency Program to facilitate your successful transition into professional nursing practice.

***Nurses hired with an Associates degreein nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of your start date.

Salary Range: Minimum 35.02/hour - Maximum 52.69/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
