CNC Programmer

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Primary function is to produce a cad model from data obtained from the reverse engineering of the part.
- From the model generate a CNC program for machining the part in the CNC.
- Machine setup and operate CNC machining centers or setup and operate CNC lathes.
- Secondary functions including but not limited to operating manual lathes VTLs and mills.
- Additional functions is to set-up and operate CNC milling centers
- Provide feedback to CNC programmer for optimization of machining process.
- Complete all documentation pertaining to the work assignment.
- Train new hires or engineers associated with the project being worked on.
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Must have CNC operating and setup experience
- Broad understanding of preparatory and misc. functions (G&M codes).
- Be able to interpret manufacturing drawings with GD&T tolerancing.
- Experience CNC Programming
- Must have experience working with rotating equipment.
- Must be able to use precision measuring instruments.
