Senior Manager - Data Architect ( BFSI )
Preferred Experience: 15 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of robust data architectures on cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud as well as on-premises solutions like Cloudera tailored for the Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) sector.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines architectures and datasets to facilitate real-time data integration ensuring seamless data flow across financial systems.
- Ensure that data architecture aligns with business requirements and supports the creation of innovative data products that drive business value in the BFSI domain.
- Apply expertise in SQL and data modeling to manage and manipulate large complex datasets ensuring high performance and reliability in financial data processing.
- Utilize data virtualization tools to provide efficient access to various data sources enhancing data accessibility and usability for financial analytics.
- Implement Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality frameworks to maintain high data integrity and accuracy across the organization crucial for compliance and reporting in BFSI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate industry-standard data sources and systems including core banking systems CRM platforms risk management tools and regulatory reporting systems.
- Uphold data governance and data integrity principles specific to the BFSI industry ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team fostering a culture of continuous improvement in financial data management.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in data architecture or a related field with a proven track record of success in designing and implementing data solutions in the BFSI sector.
- Proven experience with Databricks / Snowflake and cloud technologies (Azure/Google Cloud) demonstrating the ability to leverage cloud capabilities for data architecture in financial services.
- Familiarity with on-premises data solutions like Cloudera showcasing versatility in data architecture approaches for financial institutions.
- Extensive experience in the Banking Financial Services or Insurance sectors with a deep understanding of industry-specific data challenges and regulatory requirements.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with real-time data integration along with a solid understanding of Data Products Data Fabric and data virtualization tools.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality principles ensuring data reliability and governance in financial contexts.
- Proficiency with industry-standard data sources and systems relevant to BFSI including core banking systems CRM platforms and regulatory reporting tools.
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science engineering or a related field providing a strong foundation for technical expertise.
Additional Information:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members in a fast-paced financial environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing data-related challenges in BFSI.
- Exceptional communication skills enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels of the organization including regulatory bodies.
- Relevant certifications in data architecture cloud technologies or data management are a plus.
