Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Purchasing Executive Purchase Coordinator to join our team in Shimoga. This full-time mid-level position requires up to 6 years of work experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our procurement processes ensuring efficient purchase operations and maintaining strong vendor relationships to meet the educational needs of our institutions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a B.E in Civil Engineering with a minimum of relevant experience in construction. (Mandatory skill)
- Proven experience in procurement and vendor management to ensure quality and timely delivery of educational materials.
- Comprehensive understanding of logistics processes to facilitate smooth transportation and delivery of supplies.
- Experience in inventory management for maintaining optimal stock levels and avoiding shortages.
- Ability to manage purchase orders ensuring accuracy and compliance with institutional requirements.
- Strong negotiation skills for securing the best possible deals with suppliers aligning with budgetary constraints.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends prices and supplier performance effectively.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with internal departments and external suppliers for seamless operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and services for the institution.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing and other essential data to facilitate transparency and efficiency.
- Monitor stock levels and order replacements as necessary to prevent shortages while reducing surplus inventory.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products to enhance the institutions resource pool.
- Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine procurement needs and specifications for upcoming projects.
- Work closely with the finance department to manage budgets and implement financial control measures.
