Job Summary

Introduction

A leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrical Engineer / Technologist to join their Building Services team in Cape Town. This position reports directly to the Senior / Lead Electrical Engineer and offers exposure to diverse and challenging projects across industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical and management expertise across the full project lifecyclefrom inception and feasibility through to construction and commissioning.
Manage and maintain strong client relationships ensuring delivery within scope timeframe budget and safety requirements.
Oversee sub-contractors and site staff to ensure effective project execution.
Participate in interdisciplinary engineering activities collaborating closely with mechanical structural and other engineering disciplines.
Ensure all work complies with internal Quality Management Systems and industry standards.

Minimum Requirements:

BTech / BEng degree in Electrical Engineering.
58 years project management experience in the industrial or building services sector.
Experience in LV and MV electrical design.
Experience in Lighting and Fire Detection Design.
Professional registration with ECSA as a PrEng or PrTechEng.
Strong understanding of engineering workflows for consulting engineering services and EPCM contracts.
Broad knowledge of other design disciplines (Mechanical / Structural).
Proficiency in CAD Revit and BIM 360 platforms.
Excellent interpersonal analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead electrical design teams and manage client interactions.
Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel locally and internationally.
