Position Title: Bartender Reports To: Lead Bartender Department: Food & Beverage Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Rate: 10.00 per hour plus tips Tips are pooled by day for hours worked. 5% of servers tips go to bartender Position Overview Bartenders at Palm Bar are responsible for providing an elevated beverage experience to guests in a luxury resort environment. They will craft high-quality cocktails provide exceptional service and maintain a clean and organized bar. Bartenders will report to the Lead Bartender and collaborate closely with servers food runners and other front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service. Key Responsibilities Beverage Service - Prepare and serve cocktails wine beer and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
- Provide personalized drink recommendations and engage guests with knowledge of the cocktail wine and spirits menu.
- Maintain knowledge of beverage trends local ingredients and seasonal offerings.
Guest Experience - Deliver friendly efficient and attentive service while creating a memorable guest experience.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and in collaboration with leadership when necessary.
Bar Operations - Set up and break down the bar for daily service ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Stock and replenish bar inventory including garnishes glassware and spirits.
- Assist with regular inventory counts and report any shortages or discrepancies to the Lead Bartender.
Team Collaboration - Work closely with servers to fulfill drink orders in a timely manner.
- Support the Lead Bartender in executing bar promotions special events and private parties.
- Uphold a spirit of teamwork by assisting other FOH team members as needed.
Cleanliness and Compliance - Follow all sanitation health and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace including bar counters glassware and storage areas.
- Properly store and label products to ensure freshness and prevent waste.
- Comply with all state and local alcohol service regulations.
Qualifications - 2 years of bartending experience in a luxury resort upscale bar or high-volume restaurant setting.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktails wines beers and spirits.
- Proficient in using POS systems (experience with Toast preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Leadership Structure - Lead Bartender: Direct supervisor responsible for bar operations training and leadership.
- F&B Manager: Provides oversight for overall FOH operations.
- Culinary Director: Oversees both FOH and BOH operations ensuring seamless service.
Performance Expectations - Deliver exceptional guest experiences through professional and personable service.
- Prepare consistent high-quality beverages while adhering to brand standards.
- Maintain a clean organized and well-stocked bar.
- Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration and communication.
