Overview:
Full Time - 40 hrs. per week. 5 8-hour shifts (Monday through Friday). Likely 3 later shifts (10:30a-7p) and 2 earlier shifts 8a-4:30p

Essential Functions:
- Assesses the breast/chestfeeding needs of parents and infants.
- Develops and implements individualized care plans for parents and infants.
- Provides education and counseling to parents and families on breast/chestfeeding techniques and infant nutrition.
- Evaluates and monitors the progress of parents and infants in meeting their breast/chestfeeding goals.
- Collaborates with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for parents and infants.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of all lactation consultations and interventions.
Education Requirement:
As required by listed licensure and/or certification requirement.
Licensure Requirement:
Registered Dietitian Licensed Dietitian Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist in the State of Ohio required.
Certifications:
Certification in Lactation Management by International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBCLC) Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) Advanced Nurse Lactation Consultant (ANLC) or equivalent required.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal leadership and teaching abilities.
Experience:
- Two years of clinical experience in relevant field preferred.
- Two years of mother-infant dyad experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
OCCASIONALLY: Blood and/or Bodily Fluids Communicable Diseases and/or Pathogens Driving motor vehicles (work required) *additional testing may be required Hand use: grasping gripping turning Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs Loud Noises Patient Equipment Peripheral vision Pushing / Pulling: 0-25 lbs Reaching above shoulder
