What is the Role
Aerogen is seeking a strategic and dynamic Upstream Marketing Manager for North America to lead the commercialization of new products support M&A initiatives drive new segment exploration and penetration and deliver market intelligence on our core business. Youll be the voice of the customer and market for North America and collaborate with our global team to lead product strategy from ideation through early-stage development and to this role you will thrive if you like operating in the center of clinical insight market trends and innovation. You will be a key player in driving innovation and influencing the long-term success of our products and company.
What are the key responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify unmet needs trends and opportunities for our core portfolio new market segments and for new potential innovations.
Market Analysis: Conduct competitive assessments market sizing segmentation and forecasting to inform strategy.
Product Strategy and Development: Collaborate with our global team to define North American product requirements product roadmaps translate needs into concepts and create business cases.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building: Build relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals to gather insights. Communicate customer input to global technical and NPC teams.
Launch Planning and Commercialization: Partner with global and North America downstream marketing for product launch plans and developing key deliverables and tools.
M&A: Help lead M&A initiatives such as market segmentation and analysis customer insights and commercialization planning/execution
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with global R&D Regulatory Clinical and downstream marketing to align strategies and timelines.
Business Case Development: Create and present robust business cases for new product investments to senior leadership.
Other: Continuously evaluate product performance and represent the company at events. Stay updated on industry developments.
What education and experience are required
Bachelors degree required MBA preferred
7 years in Medical Device Marketing/Product Management or related work experience required
5 years in medical respiratory devices and/or DME segments preferred
Previous work experience in a similar role in MedTech is strongly preferred
Marketing Business or related field degree/experience preferred
Experience working with patient e-commerce devices preferred
Sales Experience preferred

Must have excellent communication written and oral and strong analytical skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced ever-changing environment prioritize assignments and multi-task
Proven experience in creating a strategic work plan and executing programs to achieve specific goals
Experienced in working cross-functionally with people with diverse backgrounds
Hands-on experience with project management and budgeting
Able to stay organized operate independently with high quality and attention to detail
Environmental Conditions: Typical office environments with work also performed in hospital clinical environment
Location : Chicago
Ability to travel 50% of the time
