The Electrical Engineering Managerwill play a key part in developing and implementing cutting-edge electrical systems for passenger rail vehicles manufactured in the U.S. You will lead the Electrical Engineering sub-department activities in all project phases from the concept to the validation and warranty phase cost-to-complete analysis and capacity planning for the Electrical Engineering efforts across all projects and support and organize further trainings to continue the development of a well-established experienced and sustainable team.
Key Activities - Lead mentor and develop a team of electrical engineers and designers.
- Ensure projects meet technical requirements safety standards and regulatory compliance (e.g. FRA APTA IEEE).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical software and production teams to ensure successful product development.
- Manage schedules resources and budgets for electrical engineering projects.
- Serve as technical lead and point of contact for customers suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement innovation and best practices within the electrical engineering function.
- Coordinate and plan resources for the Electrical Engineering sub-department for current and future US projects
- Create establish and further develop engineering processes guidelines and work instructions
- Participate in supplier negotiations and escalations
- Support sales and bid engineering during offer phases
Qualifications - BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering
- 8 years as an Electrical Engineer
- 3 years of leadership or management experience.
- Experience in the Railway Industry is preferred
- Proven management experience in an engineering team or department is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in an international working environment
