Job Description Summary

The Hermosillo Site Supply Chain Leader will ensure seamless coordination and execution of customer requirements. This will be achieved through the alignment of supply constraint and customer demand planning & execution of manufacturing strategies creating and executing inventory & logistic strategy. Success for this role will rest on the proper application of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals across the extended value stream with a Safety and Quality first mindset in everything we do.
The Supply Chain Leader will report to the Plant Leader with direct line responsibility for customer delivery production planning supplier fulfilment purchasing and Lean.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Alignment of Supply constraint and customer demand
  • Maintain alignment of supply constraint at lead time as input into Supply Chain S&OP process.
  • Oversight to ensure demonstrated supply capability to meet mid/long term demand.
  • Support Rough Cut Capacity Plan process for people machine and material capability at lead time.
  • Accountable to create train support and improve delivery & inventory management processes.
  • Production planning and execution
  • Define and reinforce replenishment strategy based on Supply Chain condition: level pull MTO push.
  • Standardize production planning process methodology to achieve customer Takt efficiently.
  • Lead escalation support and problem solving where gaps in delivery performance exist.
  • Inventory planning and logistic strategy
  • Determine optimal inventory strategy and application at each step across the extended supply chain.
  • Stabilize indirect raw material planning and consumption processes within supplier lead time.
  • Optimizing logistic flows driving balance of delivery lead time frequency and total logistic cost.
  • Drive use of PFEP optimizing logistic cost delivery frequency storage strategy inventory coverage.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in materials production planning Purchasing Warehouse management Customs Customer Planning etc.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Uncompromising Safety and Quality first mindset
  • Bachelors degree in supply chain Business Management / masters degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes production planning and production control.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills both executing and in coaching others.
  • Ability to lead and influence in a matrix organization.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills using GE leadership behaviors
  • Influence skills within GEA and Suppliers - from Senior Executive to front line leaders.
