This Position reports to:

Service Team Leader


Your Role and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for commissioning and maintaining ABB Marine Azipod propulsion units. You will ensure that commissioning and service activities are completed efficiently and cost-effectively in accordance with specifications standards and safety requirements.

- Work model: #Li-Onsite

In this role youll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact as you will be accountable for:

  • Responsible for commissioning maintaining and supervising installation of ABB Marine Azipod systems including startup and acceptance testing with customers and classification societies.

  • Handles warranty and service calls on operating vessels ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.

  • Contributes to project design improvements ensures quality in all tasks and applies tools and processes for efficient project delivery.

  • Prepares service reports timesheets expense reports and other documentation promptly after assignments.

  • Works according to ABB procedures and ethics using appropriate tools and reporting opportunities or issues to management.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Masters or bachelors degree in electrical Power Engineering or Automation with over 2 years of experience in commissioning or servicing relevant systems.

  • You possess basic applied mechanics strong understanding of industrial and marine power generation/distribution processes and ability to read technical documents (e.g. datasheets electrical drawings P&ID diagrams). You are familiar with MS Office and preferably ABB-specific tools.

  • You are responsive flexible team-oriented and capable of working independently and under pressure with a target-driven mindset.

  • You are a creative thinker with excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong sense of ownership and dedication.

  • You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.

  • Willingness to travel globally on short notice; valid drivers license and passport required..
