All camps share a common purpose: creating an environment where Young Life staff bring Christ to life by creatively presenting the complete gospel of Jesus Christ. Speaking clearly from the Scriptures camp speakers introduce kids to the person of Christ the nature of humanity the work of Christ on the cross the hope of the resurrection and the opportunity for reconciliation with God.

As a follower of Jesus Christ and a minister of His Gospel model a full understanding of Young Lifes ministry strategy and equip and lead a team of staff in providing excellent camping experiences for individuals to encounter Jesus Christ and know the truth of Gods love for them.
Through both continued training and direct experience lead staff and prepare an environment where guests staff and volunteers are well cared for by preparing a distraction free environment for kids to encounter Jesus Christ. This is a role that oversees all of the Sites and Facilities Department; staff & development buildings & equipment operations budget and administrative needs for the department.
ESSENTIAL PREREQUISITES FOR ALL STAFF MEMBERS (FROM YOUNG LIFES BYLAWS ARTICLE VII):
Because of Young Lifes exclusive Christian purposes of evangelism and discipleship as set forth in its Articles of Incorporation and in these Bylaws and to reflect what has always been and will continue to be the position of Young Life specifically the Christian belief that each and every employee and volunteer of the corporation should minister as a servant of God with the primary responsibility of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and as such is an integral part of the Christian mission and ministry of the corporation Young Life shall only employ individuals or enlist volunteer leaders who: (a) profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord; and (b) subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff including the Young Life Statement of Faith. Camp or Job Specific Working Conditions:
- This may entail the need to assist in physical labor to show how a project needs to be completed. May have to lift up to 100 lbs. and do other physical things such as pushing squatting kneeling climbing etc.
- This position may require the staff person to work out of doors which will mean exposure to various changes in weather (heat cold rain snow). May also be in contact with chemicals in wastewater and pool water treatment.

Job Specific Working Conditions:
This role supports the Operations Manager in stewarding Frontier Ranchs property and facilities. As part of a small tight-knit team the position involves a wide range of responsibilities and requires initiative flexibility and a service-minded attitude.
Currently in hibernation camping operations are scaled back allowing for flexible work hours and a unique opportunity to shape the future of the Sites & Facilities team. The role includes oversight and hands-on work in all areas of maintenance and operationsproject management groundskeeping plumbing electrical IT snow removal and more. Summed up the role of Sites & Facilities Manager at Frontier Ranch will be to care for the physical property complete upkeep and improvements while planning for the future. While capital projects are underway this position will assist with operational guidance and more with project scope details and support. As camp operations ramp back up in the future this individual may have the opportunity to build and lead a larger sites & facilities team.
Located near Buena Vista CO the camp offers a supportive family-like staff culture and although Buena Vista is a small town it has all of your necessities and a lot of outdoor activities to explore.
Skills & Job Overview
Mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing HVAC electrical and other building systems
Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
Overseeing all building and facilities functions; Experience with construction and building codes and skills in landscaping vehicles general repairs etc..
Working knowledge of IT systems
Ability to manage a team provide leadership and complete physical tasks alone

Previous Frontier Ranch or YL Camp sites & facilities experience
Daily/Weekly/Annual Responsibilities to include but not limited to;
Oversight of CMMS system including PM/DINs.
Assist with groundskeeping and shop maintenance.
Manage documentation and data for external use.
Regularly inspect and track building issues.
Support camp upgrades and provide design input.
Organize volunteer events and maintain safety forms.
Submit water quality use and wastewater reports.
Promote staff development and knowledge sharing.
Manage contractor work and facility inspections.
Troubleshoot IT issues and manage Workday tasks.
Support safety program and network with peers.
Prepare facilities for guests and lead staff huddles.
Compensation & Benefits Information
This position has an anticipated salary range of $43479-$65352 per year based on education and relevant experience.
This position is eligible for Young Lifes Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA). This is a geographically based pay adjustment meant to compensate staff for residing in an area that is more expensive than the national Buena Vista COLA is currently at 7%.
In addition to the COLA this position is eligible for a monthly housing stipend if living off camp property.
On-camp housing may be available if desired.

Young Life is a relational ministry. Staff must be able to convey a sense of Christ-like hospitality and concern for guests and staff. Responding to the unexpected needs of a guest in a prompt and professional manner is important. All staff members are expected to represent Young Life positively and professionally within the community and be able to work with and minister to the volunteer high school and college-age young people who attend our camp.
