Job Description

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Route #50

M-F 4.81/180Days

Shift time is subject to building needs.

Monday Morning Routes are one hour later

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  1. Valid Washington State drivers license.
  1. A commercial drivers license. Class A or B with passenger endorsement.
  1. Must have a current Washington State Bus Drivers Authorization.
  1. Must meet all physical and character standards as established in WAC.
  1. Must successfully complete pre-employment physical.
  1. Must possess a valid First Aid Card.
  1. Bilingual preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Provides safe and reliable transportation service by operating a school bus or other location specific vehicle with a fixed or changing route.
  2. Reports to duty on time and maintains route on time but in a safe manner.
  3. Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency.
  4. Immediately reports any accident or incident per Company policy.
  5. Informs all appropriate personnel of problems/procedures.
  6. Presents a neat and professional personal appearance at all times.
  7. Completes all required paperwork (including route change sheets time cards vehicle repair requests) and submits to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
  8. Safely and efficiently utilizes vehicle equipment including wheelchair lifts radios and emergency equipment.
  9. Attend all assigned training safety meetings and in-service meetings.
  10. Accept responsibility for assignments and outcomes.
  11. Work cooperatively with other staff; maintain positive respectful relationships and engagements.
  12. Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
  13. Maintain district assigned email account; read and respond to messages regularly.
  14. Other such job-related tasks as assigned.
