Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands
Reporting to the VP and Head of Finance you will have the opportunity to work on a team of bright individuals dedicated to delivering a wide range of comprehensive security products and services to our customers.
What you will do
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and tax requirements.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Perform account reconciliations including bank statements accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy
- Participate in the month-end closing and reporting
- Own the cash application process
- Record review and post journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Perform general accounting and reporting tasks including processing journal entries calculation of accruals prepayments adjustments and processing of allocations.
- Improve current financial processes recommend and implement financial processes that improve efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal accounting policies
- Assist with internal and external audits providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Other ad hoc projects and tasks as needed
What we expect of you
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Understanding ot tax regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite Excel etc.) including proficiency using Pivot Tables
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Motivation and willingness to take ownership and accountability for daily tasks
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally across several tasks at once
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with AP and AR teams
- Ability to work closely with the team to deliver and optimize system performance and efficiencies
