Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our Supply Chain & Procurement team in Morgantown this role you will oversee the daily purchasing operations ensuring accurate order processing vendor management and inventory control. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented purchasing professional with strong problem-solving skills and manufacturing experience to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory replenishment using ERP systems to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Create enter and process purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and contract compliance.
- Partner with vendors to resolve discrepancies in pricing backorders or delivery issues.
- Expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve PO/receiving/invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain and update Open Order Reports and purchasing data within the ERP system.
- Support inter-warehouse transfers and assist with physical inventory processes.
- Develop purchasing reports and documentation using ERP Google Sheets and Microsoft Office.
- Work closely with the VP of Supply Chain & Global Procurement on business process improvements.
- Participate in meetings contract projects and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience (manufacturing industry strongly preferred).
- Strong organizational problem-solving and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word and ERP systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in supply chain inventory management or procurement within a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with contract management and vendor negotiations.
