Job Summary

Nature and Scope

The Occupational Therapist will have a great deal of flexibility in applying individual professional judgment discretion and skill in patient management and program development. The Occupational Therapist will review physicians referrals for Occupational Therapy services and utilize information obtained from patients records relative to their medical history social emotional disorders and prognosis in order to select appropriate evaluation procedures for identifying patients functional abilities/disabilities.

Location

  • You may be requested to travel between the two offices situated in Quincy CA and Greenville CA.

Compensation

Compensation Philosophy:

  • We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 30 years of relevant experience

Compensation Range:

  • $66.61 - $94.97/ hour

Job Status / Shift Information

  • Per Diem
  • You will be employed in our outpatient and skilled nursing facility departments You may be requested to provide assistance in our inpatient and swing bed departments.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited education institution.
  • Current California Occupational Therapist License.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification approved by the AHA.

Experience:

  • Two to three (2-3) years experience in an acute care hospital rehabilitation center and outpatient setting.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Compassionate and attentive to detail.
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices.
  • Ability to solve problems independently.
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking.
  • Ability to manage patients with different personalities.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence at a professional level.
  • Ability to use a computer and software proficiently.
  • Drive to continually learn new treatment techniques.
  • Completion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)-accredited residency program.

Responsibilities

  • Provision of assessment and evidence-based treatments.
  • Skill in the wide range of basic evaluation instruments.
  • Ability to modify and/or adapt treatment techniques to improve outcomes.
  • Participation in PI/QA programs.
  • Participation in departmental meetings.
  • Supervision of COTAaid as needed.
  • Other duties as requested.
