The opportunity:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Subcontracts Development Managerto join ourHVDC (High Voltage Direct Current)business.

HVDC is a product group within Hitachi Energy that develops manufactures and delivers direct current transmission systems globally. This technology enables long-distance electricity transmission submarine cable power transfer and interconnection of power systems.

In this dynamic role you will bring expert knowledge in project controls and take ownership of planning scheduling monitoring and controlling processes across our delivery projects.

How you will make an impact:

• Collaborate with SCM to align subcontracting processes with the Master Time Schedule (MTS).

• Ensure subcontracts are awarded based on 90% design maturity to support timely construction start.

• Participate in constructability reviews led by the Project C&C Manager (PCCM).

• Attend weekly meetings covering construction site procurement design progress and BoQ.

• Engage in PIMS Project Change Control Risk Management QIT follow-ups and subcontract handovers.

• Liaise with the C&C tendering team for clarifications as needed.

• Uphold HVDCs Code of Ethics and company guidelines.

• Drive optimal subcontract awards in terms of scope time and cost.

• Analyze budget variances and share lessons learned across the HVDC organization.

• Support the SDLM with subcontract package queries.

Your background:

• Degree in a construction-related field; chartership preferred or in progress.

• Proven experience in heavy/industrial sectors ideally within power projects.

• Strong expertise in subcontract procurement development and package management.

• Solid technical or engineering background with risk mitigation capabilities.

• Proficient in MS Office 365 tools including Excel SharePoint and Teams.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.

• Fluent in both English and French with a global mindset and cultural awareness.

• Proactive analytical and detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Participer aux revues de constructibilit diriges par le Project C&C Manager (PCCM).

• Assister aux runions hebdomadaires sur la construction les achats sur site lavancement de la conception et les BoQ.

• Participer aux runions PIMS gestion des changements gestion des risques suivi QIT et passation des sous-traitances.

• Consulter lquipe de soumission C&C pour toute clarification ncessaire.

• Respecter le Code dthique HVDC et les directives de lentreprise.

• Optimiser lattribution des sous-traitances en termes de primtre dlais et cots.

• Analyser les carts budgtaires et partager les retours dexprience au sein de lorganisation HVDC.

• Soutenir le SDLM sur les questions lies aux lots de sous-traitance.

Votre profil:

• Diplme dans un domaine li la construction.

• Exprience confirme dans les secteurs lourds/industriels idalement dans le domaine de lnergie.

• Solide expertise en matire dapprovisionnement de dveloppement et de gestion des sous-traitances.

• Comptences techniques ou en ingnierie avec capacit identifier et attnuer les risques.

• Matrise des outils MS Office 365 notamment Excel SharePoint et Teams.

• Excellentes aptitudes la collaboration et la communication interfonctionnelle.

• Matrise du franais et de langlais avec une ouverture internationale et une sensibilit interculturelle.

• Approche proactive analytique et rigoureuse oriente vers lamlioration continue.
