Job Description
What youll be doing:
- Learn the tools used in the PPT SOC including SIEM EDR/XDR and case management tools.
- Learn and contribute to the threat intelligence and analysis process.
- Review SIEM and EDR events to identify and respond to threats.
- Review logs and events to investigate anomalous activity.
- Develop and execute security awareness training.
- Educates employees about the proper way to handle possible compromised systems.
- Stays abreast of developments in Information Security as well as those in Information Technology industry specifically as they relate to security.
- Analyze security incidents to determine root cause.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
- Define and create a security capstone project to encapsulate what was learned through the internship.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- Interest in cyber security and information technology.
- General computer literacy.
- Introductory knowledge of security concepts: AV Firewall etc.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Good communication skills (Verbal and Written).
- Strong analytical
- Ability to effectively work and interact with customers and team members.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in information technology software development or security a plus.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems a plus
- Experience with coding or scripting languages a plus
Education:
- Relevant educational experience or degree a plus
- Relevant security related certifications a plus: CISSP GCIA GSEC GCIH GCED GCFA GREM.

- Less than 5%.
