Minimum Qualifications
- Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license a temporary permit or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Completes medical histories for Addictive Disordered Services.
- Performs routine nursing procedures such as administering injections.
- Preparations of Behavioral Health clients are scheduled to see the physician for the day.
- Ensure correct labs are available.
- Performs weights BMI blood pressure pulse temperature client medical history and family medical history.
- Obtain list of allergies and current list of physical medications are assessed and documented in the client record.
- Completes paperwork in accordance with clinic requirements.
- Consults with RN regarding any significant or questionable findings.
- Request medical records for prescribers.
- Provides correspondence to community providers for coordination of care.
- Provides crisis assessment if no other professional is available.
- Completes discharge summaries
Position-Specific Details:Appointment Type:Temporary Job Appointment - This position may be filled by temporary job appointment not to exceed 48 months.
Location: This vacancy is located at Central Louisiana Human Services District. This announcement serves to fill vacancies in our Caring Choices Clinic.
Career Progression:This position may be filled as an LPN 1 or 2.
Compensation:
- Practical Nurse Licensed 1 - minimum salary of $16.06/hourly; $1284.80/bi-weekly.
- Practice Nurse Licensed 2 - minimum salary of $17.18/hourly; $1374.40/bi-weekly.
**Note regarding the advertised pay range:The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
