You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Director Integrity & Security will lead the Line 1 assessments against key regulatory requirements (enterprise and jurisdictional) escalate and report on gaps to senior leaders.
With a focus on supporting Regulatory Affairs in managing regulatory expectations and maturity assessment for Manulife the Director will work closely with key leaders in the Business Risk Compliance and Audit to identify and assess risks and controls adherence and non-compliance to regulations reporting results to senior management and demonstrating appropriate risk behaviours and culture.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the self-assessment on behalf of the Manulife stakeholders including documentation in Archer to ensure that risks and controls are identified and effective in addressing key regulatory expectations.
Coordinate the activities with control owners who are accountable for implementation to ensure that their roles and responsibilities are well-understood.
Identify potential gaps in adhering to regulatory expectations assess its materiality and exposure and report and escalate to senior leaders.
Propose remedial action plans timelines and ownerships. Track these action plans and progress until completion and ongoing reporting on its progress.
Lead annual maturity assessment on behalf of Manulife interacting and influencing key stakeholders across businesses and segments identify actions and roadmap to increase Manulifes maturity scale.
Identify and monitor industry trends evolving regulatory risks and other factors that might impact Manulifes regulatory risk and compliance landscape.
Required Qualifications:
Regulatory/Compliance or Operational Risk/Audit experience within large Financial Institutions with a minimum of 8 years experience.
University undergraduate degree with a relevant advanced professional designation preferred (e.g. MBA Finance Risk Actuarial Accounting Technology).
Solid experience in self-assessment and validating the effectiveness of controls.
Strong written and oral communication skills including ability to translate complex technical issues into fundamental concepts.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think strategically.
Strong curiosity with the ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details.
Self-starter with the ability to work with little guidance.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and experienced in detailed analysis on interpretations.
Very strong leadership communication and influencing skills are a must.
Proven track record of being a collaborative and transformative leader.
Strong project management skills and experience. Will manage multiple initiatives across many different teams. The ability to get meaningful participation and support from many different resources and other departments will be critical to success.

Salary range is expected to be between
$105750.00 CAD - $190350.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location please contact for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training.
