Job Description

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Pharmacists to support the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) primarily located at 650 East Indian School Rd Phoenix AZ 85012. The schedule is typically either days or overnight shifts. If you accept employment with Ansible you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Our customers face wide-ranging challenges in the fields of health care national security and information technology. To address these challenges we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers success as if it is their own.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medicationsprescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
  • Provide patient educationon medication use side effects and interactions.
  • Advise providerson drug selection dosage interactions and side effects.
  • Evaluate medication ordersfor duplications incompatibilities and allergies.
  • Identify and address therapeutic issues such as incorrect dosage or strength.
  • Recommend alternative therapiesin line with VA formulary guidelines.
  • Counsel patientson prescription drugs and durable medical equipment.
  • Maintain professional communicationwith patients providers and staff.
  • Enter and verify medication ordersin the VAs electronic health record system (VistA).
  • Ensure compliancewith state and federal regulations for controlled substances.
  • Maintain strict security and inventory controlfor all medications.

Requirements

  • US Citizen
  • Degree Requirements:
    • Must be a graduate of anAccreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited College or School of Pharmacy.
    • Must hold either aBachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharmacy)or aDoctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)degree.
  • Full current and unrestricted license in any State Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • Must be licensed for controlled substances with qualifications to practice in any states
  • No sponsorship available

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
