About this Job
- Division: Within the Psychology Department at ELMHS Located in Jackson LA
The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation treatment habilitation and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions jail-based evaluations supervised group home and residential programs forensic evaluation care custody and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric care are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana.
ELMHS is looking for a motivated detail oriented individual to come and join the team in the Psychology Department as a Psychology Post Doctoral Fellow or Psychologist! Minimum Qualifications
- A doctorate degree in psychology.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
In this role you will:
- Work to provide resources and support needed to provide uninterrupted and appropriate patient care.
- Complete psychological evaluations (diagnostic competency assessments risk assessments and assessments of intelligence psychopathology potential feigning/lack of effort and additional assessments) that are completed in a timely manner and are of high quality.
- Make recommendations and contribute to treatment plan development.
- Monitor patient progress in competency restoration efforts to help insure compliance with Federal consent decree and provides data Clinical Department Head monthly meetings
- Provide any needed information for the Forensic database.
- Provide administrative oversight of Psychology duties and functions on assigned unit as needed.
- Provides documentation to the court and court testimony as needed that is helpful in determining a persons competence to stand trial and other psychological issues.

Compensation:
- This position has an SER of
- $36.56 an hour or $2924.80 bi-weekly for Psychology Post Doctoral Fellow
- $39.12 an hour or $3129.60 bi-weekly for Psychologist 2
- $44.79 an hour or $3583.20 bi-weekly for Psychologist 3
- This position is eligible for the following premium pays (Per Hour Physically Worked):
- Facility Longevity of $1.00 an hour
- Location based pay of $2.00 an hour
