The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
Under the supervision of the Manager of Technical Platforms Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM) the incumbent is responsible for supporting the activities of the clinical research infusion centre.
General Duties
Manages the day-to-day scheduling of patient bookings/scheduling of infusions
Maintain a spreadsheet of infusion bookings patients and more
Receives and screens telephone calls takes messages responds to inquiries
Prioritizes incoming correspondence communications and scheduling requests
Receives and responds to emails
Assists with picking up medication from pharmacy and transports to CIM Infusion Room
Assists with the ordering and receiving of clinical supplies
Assists with the clearing and sterilizing of infusion equipment
Creates types translates and edits documents for invoicing statistics supplies inventory and more
Organizes and coordinates meetings takes transcribes and distributes minutes with relevant documentation
Photocopies/scans documents distributes and files accordingly
Performs other office duties as assigned.

Verbal Communication: Question answer and explain: obtain or give information of a specific or unusual nature. This involves understanding or explaining the information involved.
Written Communication: Writing or editing texts reports or memoranda in order to communicate information of a technical or administrative nature.
Supervision: No direct supervision of personnel
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:
Ensure important information is distributed quickly
Data is collected and reported to Infusion Nurses immediate Supervisor/Manager within a timely fashion
Exhibits strong interpersonal and organization skills
Ability to take initiative work under pressure manage multiple projects and priorities
Ability to pay attention to detail
Ability to generate and maintain accurate records
Ability to draft communications and correspondence in French and English
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in French and English
Excellent knowledge of computer applications such as Outlook Word Excel Access and Power Point
Excellent organizational and ability to multi-task and prioritizing time-sensitive issues and completing tasks within short timelines on a regular basis

Ability to work in a fast paced environment
