What You Will Do
- Visually and dimensionally inspecting aerospace components.
- Communicating inspection findings to management or designated quality engineering personnel.
- Determining the scope of work and inspecting Aftermarket and OEM parts.
- Interpreting blueprints visual specifications coating specifications and other inspection documents.
- Using calipers and micrometers and other testing equipment.
- Relating inspection findings on actual components to blueprint requirements and specification requirements.
- Must be able to work any shift including first second third and/or weekends as required by business need.
Qualifications You Must Have
- HS Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Qualifications We Prefer
- A&P certification preferred.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a production manufacturing environment with a proven capability to perform complex tasks is preferred..
- Previous experience with machine metal and hand tools is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical data is preferred.
- Previous experience as an aerospace mechanic or A&P mechanic is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret FAA technical data is preferred.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing preferred.
- Knowledge and care of precision tools preferred.
- Must be a self-starter and possess integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Must demonstrate excellence working in a team environment and have proven ability and willingness to learn new tasks as required.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess basic computer skills.

Pratt & Whitney Lansing MI is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportations Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). - Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.
