ABOUT THE ROLE

In this hybrid role youll combine origination with hands-on deal execution working closely with our Trading & Analysis team. Youll take ownership of key client relationships close complex and high-value deals and play a central role in shaping our growth across environmental certificate and power-related markets in the region.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in an international environment collaborating with global teams while building a strong regional footprint in APAC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively identify and drive opportunities to expand STX Groups footprint across the APAC region
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of high-value clients within environmental certificates and power-related space (e.g. I-RECs EACs carbon)
  • Originate structure and close deals of all sizes across APAC with corporates utilities and energy companies
  • Work closely with multiple teams Trading & Analysis Policy & Regulatory and Corporate Team to connect the dots between market developments corporate procurement trends global and local regulatory changes to identify and realize new business opportunities

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 37 years of experience in commercial roles within commodities energy or environmental markets
  • Proven track-record managing large accounts and closing large-scale transactions
  • Strong familiarity with APAC energy markets
  • Natural affinity for trading and a basic understanding of financial products (forwards futures options)
  • Existing network in the regional energy or environmental space is highly preferred
  • Experience with environmental commodities (I-RECs RECs EACs GOs or carbon) and/or power is a plus
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional APAC languages is an advantageous

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to navigate fast-paced complex negotiations
  • Self-starter who takes full ownership of deals opportunities client relationships and stakeholder engagement
  • Analytical and structured approach to identifying and acting on market opportunities
  • Natural interest to stay updated on market developments and a strong appetite to keep learning
