About the Job
Are you passionate about quality safety and making a real impact in chemical manufacturing As Quality Control Assistant - Co-op you will be reporting directly to the Manager of Quality Assurance and Quality Control you actively support our effort to implement a Quality Management System (QMS) at our production facility in Orangeburg (SC) and Portland (OR) aligning with the ISO 9000 standard. Your job will consist of working in a production environment with our operators as well as working with our quality technicians. This is an exciting opportunity for students looking to build a career inemulsions chemical manufacturing or quality control.
What Youll Be Doing
Support the quality planning program for wax emulsion production and working closely with the QC team and Operations team to resolve quality concerns address technical inquiries and support troubleshooting.
Support the implementation of our Quality Management System (QMS) by working with Quality and Operations teams.
Support technical projects by performing experiments and analysis.
Drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) alongside our experienced operators.
Demonstrating an exceptional commitment to Health & Safety protocols.
Learning to operate and master analytical equipment in our QC lab.
Heres What You Need
Previous co-op or internship experience in chemical manufacturing quality or production is an assetbut not required
Currently enrolled in Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Quality Engineering or a related program.
Eagerness to learn and apply OSHA safety knowledge.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Valid Drivers License required.
