About the Job

Are you passionate about quality safety and making a real impact in chemical manufacturing As Quality Control Assistant - Co-op you will be reporting directly to the Manager of Quality Assurance and Quality Control you actively support our effort to implement a Quality Management System (QMS) at our production facility in Orangeburg (SC) and Portland (OR) aligning with the ISO 9000 standard. Your job will consist of working in a production environment with our operators as well as working with our quality technicians. This is an exciting opportunity for students looking to build a career inemulsions chemical manufacturing or quality control.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Support the quality planning program for wax emulsion production and working closely with the QC team and Operations team to resolve quality concerns address technical inquiries and support troubleshooting.

  • Support the implementation of our Quality Management System (QMS) by working with Quality and Operations teams.

  • Support technical projects by performing experiments and analysis.

  • Drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) alongside our experienced operators.

  • Demonstrating an exceptional commitment to Health & Safety protocols.

  • Learning to operate and master analytical equipment in our QC lab.

Heres What You Need

  • Previous co-op or internship experience in chemical manufacturing quality or production is an assetbut not required

  • Currently enrolled in Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Quality Engineering or a related program.

  • Eagerness to learn and apply OSHA safety knowledge.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).

  • Valid Drivers License required.
