Job Title: Junior Financial Analyst

Job Description: As a Junior Financial Analyst at Freedom Energy Logistics you will play a pivotal role in our organization by overseeing a diverse range of financial and administrative functions. Your responsibilities will span across critical areas such as Net Metering Commission Salesforce and Accounting. Collaborating closely with our finance and operations teams you will ensure the seamless operation of our financial processes.

Potential roles include Junior Financial Analyst I-III Financial Analyst I-III Senior Financial Analyst I-III Finance Manager and Director of Finance.

Job Responsibilities

Net Metering:

  • Maintain current member lists and promptly collect monthly data from all members.
  • Invoice NED Hosts monthly for their generation use.
  • Input monthly member data into the system to calculate quarterly rebate payments.
  • Manage the annual PUC NEB reports for all Hosts.
  • Ensure that there is always sufficient member usage to cover the generation for all Hosts.

Commissions:

  • Learn the current commission process to assist in its integration into Salesforce.
  • Assist with data analysis and conduct monthly audits to guarantee the accuracy of commission data in Salesforce.
  • Run reports to compare data and verify the accuracy of supplier data.
  • Analyze monthly totals to determine the accuracy of our forecasts and projections.
  • Address commission-related inquiries from Sales Reps.
  • Follow up with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies in data.

Salesforce:

  • Assist in the creation of confirmations for contracts involving our renewable program NEB deals wholesale contracts and real-time contracts.
  • Assist with resolving Accounting Queue cases submitted into Salesforce regarding commission import issues.
  • Update and maintain accurate contract information including total values usage and dropped accounts and ensure we receive commissions for all enrolled accounts.

Accounting:

  • Learn the Accounting and Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and provide backup as needed.
  • Generate invoices and bills and process payments.
  • Assist with journal entries and accruals.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting projects.

Miscellaneous:

  • Assist with any new department projects.
  • Contribute to the development of department procedure handbooks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
