How youll contribute

The Health Information Manager will manage the work of others including planning assigning scheduling and reviewing work ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring terminating training and developing reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Assists with developing specific departmental goals standards and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Manages staff relations including performance management staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling staff development recruitment payroll and student engagements.
• Monitors departmental budgets regulatory compliance departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases monitors usage and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Ensures department stays focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements

• Associate or bachelors degree preferred
• Previous experience in health information management required prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred. Valid drivers license preferred.
