Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager HVAC Leadership Revit

Location: Orlando-Maitland FL
Compensation: $80000 $100000 (DOE) Relocation Considered

About the Role:

An established Florida-based MEP consulting firm is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager with hands-on HVAC design experience and the leadership skills to drive commercial and healthcare projects from kickoff through construction.

This role blends technical design work with client-facing project management. Youll be a key player in a collaborative team owning your work and relationships from start to finish and helping shape sustainable high-performance building systems along the way.

What Youll Do:

  • Design HVAC Systems: Perform load calculations equipment selection and layout design for commercial healthcare and institutional facilities.

  • Manage Projects: Lead design efforts and coordinate project milestones schedules and documentation across disciplines.

  • Oversee Documentation: Produce construction drawings in Revit and AutoCAD ensuring accuracy clarity and code compliance.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work directly with clients architects consultants and internal teams to deliver on time and on budget.

  • Support Client Development: Build and maintain strong relationships that foster repeat business and referrals.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)

  • 5 years of HVAC design experience in commercial and/or healthcare sectors

  • Experience managing projects or serving as a key project coordinator

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is a must

  • Knowledge of DX chilled water pumps cooling towers and related systems

  • Familiarity with applicable design codes and standards

  • EIT preferred (PE track a plus)
