Pratt & Whitney a recognized leading producer of the worlds most advanced commercial and military turbine engines is seeking talented college students to join our organization in an internship capacity.

This internship position is within Pratt & Whitneys Columbus Georgia - Columbus Engine Center team.

What You Will Do

• 2nd Shift Schedule: 20.0 Hours Total

• Monday: 4:30 PM 8:30 PM

• Tuesday: 2:30 PM 8:30 PM

• Wednesday: 4:30 PM 8:30 PM

• Thursday: 2:30 PM 8:30 PM

The intern will be mentored by theEngine Center Supervisors and will engage in the duties listed below:

• Engine disassembly/assembly: Assist in mechanic duties to disassemble and assemble engines engine sections and accessories.

• Clean: Assist in cleaning of engine parts and components.

• Assist with visual checks to assess minimal part condition for continued use where applicable. Understand the basic inspection techniques as a part of a career development path.

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and continuous improvement programs by complying with all policies and procedures completing all required training and supporting all applicable committee activities.

• Ability to manage tools and tooling to ensure serviceability before and after use and process appropriately when issues arise.

• FAA Safety Sensitive Position

Qualifications You Must Have

• Currently enrolled in an Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) (i.e. Airframe & Powerplant curriculum) at an FAA approved school and completed the General curriculum at a minimum.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Currently enrolled in an Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program at a local college or university and posses either an Airframe or Powerplant rating.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
