Our client an iconic WA success story with a clear strategy in becoming a world leader in its sector is looking for Senior Accountant for their next stage of growth.
The Role
The company is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join their motivated and results driven finance team in supporting operations with data analysis and reporting. Leading a team and reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager the ideal candidate will be;
Your skills
- Manage the accounting function for the Business unit including maintenance of accounting ledgers internal financial reporting and analysis
- Assist in developing and implementing financial business process improvements
- Perform weekly and monthly analysis providing an understanding of financial data including weekly sales profit and operations analysis performance reporting and cost analysis
- Prepare payment claims for external customers
- Assist with preparation of group Budgets and Forecasts
- Compilation of monthly financial reports
- Assistance with the compilation of other financial and operational information in response to ad hoc requests from the business
- Assist with management of the banking function including maintenance of up-to-date bank reconciliations and credit cards
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Assistance in identifying potential areas for cost reduction and improvement in business performance and profitability
- Assistance with preparation for annual audit process and responding to audit requests
- Compile and analyse financial information to assist the preparation of financial statements
Desirable
- CPA or CA qualified with 4 years of combined experience in public practice and commerce
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and complete to a high standard
- Good communication skills able to interact with both finance and operational stakeholders
- Team player works as part of a team to provide business analysis and visibility for operational teams and deliver results on time at a high standard
- Experience management reporting including dashboards tables analysis and report writing.
- Ability to critically assess outputs to provide value-add to business and management.
