This position is responsible for designing developing testing and deploying test systems applications and software for the testing of industrial gas turbines. These applications interface with data acquisition systems (DAS) that support Solars various test and manufacturing groups including Production Test Development Test Gas Compressors Overhaul Test and Design Engineering. This position is part of the test systems team providing centralized support to internal customers and partnering closely with metrology test cell engineers and technicians. Additionally this position will actively participate in troubleshooting and resolving test systems software issues while collaborating closely with customers to enhance software capabilities and service delivery.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Gather and validate functional and technical requirements.
• Design develop test and implement LabVIEW based applications.
• Perform functional integration and system testing.
• Document architecture specifications software design descriptions verification plans and test cases.
• Utilize appropriate tools to design debug troubleshoot and maintain source code and computer programs.
• Develop and execute automated and manual test scripts.
• Collaborate with customers and the Product Owner to scope and execute projects that meet business needs.
• Apply technical knowledge to analyze investigate and resolve test system software issues.
• Provide support to test cells as needed.

Minimum Qualification

• Experience with software development using LabVIEW C MATLAB
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems measurement technology control systems and test engineering
• Experience with aspects of the software life cycle including analysis design development production deployment and support.
• Knowledge of software product testing with the ability to design plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and delivery.
• Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches tools and techniques.
• Experience troubleshooting using Process Monitor Event Viewer and network monitoring tools such as Fiddler wire shark
• Ability to work effectively in teams and strong interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude.

• Ability to comprehend and effectively integrate test instrumentation equipment and data acquisition measurement devices into test systems software solutions.

Preferred Qualification:

• Proficiency in application development tools including Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Familiarity with Test Program Specification (TPS) languages.
• Problem-solving skills including the ability to recognize anticipate and resolve product or process problems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a self-starter attitude.

Certification:

• Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) or Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD).
• Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA)
• Certified LabVIEW Embedded Developer (CLED

Minimum Education Level

Graduate or postgraduate degree with 6 years in computer science electronics electrical or mechanical engineering.
