Join Our Team and Help Drive the Success of St Gemmas Hospice Retail!

Are you a passionate and experienced retail leader looking for your next challenge Do you want to make a real difference in the community while doing work you love Were looking for a dynamic Retail Development Manager to join our team and help take our charity shops to the next level.

In this exciting role youll be working alongside an existing Retail Development Manager sharing responsibility for the performance and development of our network of shops. Together youll support Shop Managers to deliver outstanding customer service meet income targets and uphold high operational standards across multiple locations.

Youll play a key part in identifying growth opportunities shaping strategic plans and driving innovation throughout our retail operations. Reporting to the Head of Retail youll help manage budgets support marketing and promotional activity and ensure our values are embedded across the team. Youll also take a lead on staff and volunteer training helping to create a motivated and empowered workforce. When required youll act as a key support to the Head of Retail helping maintain strong leadership and continuity.

Were looking for someone with solid multi-site retail management experience a proven track record of leading teams and driving results and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Youll have a collaborative proactive approach and a genuine passion for the charity sector and community engagement.

About us

St Gemmas Hospice is an independent Leeds-based charity and one of the leading hospices in the UK providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. We offer care to patients families and carers in the Hospices In-Patient Unit through the St Gemmas community team and at our Out-Patients.

We have around 300 employees working across the main Hospice site in Moortown Retail Hub in Bramley a large chain of charity shops and out in the community. We offer career opportunities both in our multi-disciplinary clinical team and in a wide range of non-clinical roles all of which contribute towards local patient care. St Gemmas Hospice has a team of approximately 800 volunteers working in a variety of roles supporting departments throughout the organisation.
