The Division of Health Benefits (DHB) within NCDHHS is committed to advancing innovative solutions that improve health promote well-being and foster independence for all North Carolinians. DHB manages and oversees North Carolina Medicaid and other programs that provide access to services and supports for parents children seniors people with intellectual / developmental disabilities and behavioral health substance use and traumatic brain injury disorders. With a budget over $27 billion in state and federal funds per fiscal year DHB ensures that more than 108000 enrolled providers are reimbursed for delivering covered services to 3.1 million beneficiaries.

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest most complex agencies in the state and has approximately 17000 employees. The following Management Preferences are not required but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
Strong knowledge of accounting budgeting and financial management principles especially in government finance managed care Medicaid regulations and GAAP as applied in North Carolina.
Skilled in analyzing data solving complex problems and identifying and managing financial risks.
Experience designing and maintaining effective internal controls and quality assurance systems in large organizations.
Demonstrated success in working independently managing shifting priorities and organizing work to meet deadlines.
Strong leadership skills demonstrated through managing accounting operations or similar financial functions.
Effective at building and maintaining positive working relationships across departments and with external partners.
Proficiency with NC Financial System.
CPA certification
