Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Wrangler to lead revenue-generating initiatives and curate unique guest experiences at our hotel in Joshua Tree CA. This role will be a dynamic role focused on developing immersive on-property experiences that capture the spirit of Joshua Trees natural beauty and artistic community.

This individual will be located in the Twentynine Palms CA area. This is a full-time on-site exempt position that reports to the General Manager. This expectation is for this The salary range for this position is $70000-$75000.

At Reset the desert takes center stage. Nestled just outside Joshua Tree National Park in the city of Twentynine Palms Reset Hotel provides unique access to some of the most iconic views in the United States. Each of Reset Hotel Twentynine Palms 65 rooms offer guests a private patio uninterrupted mountain views and the comforts of a boutique hotel.

What Youll Do

HEAD CONCIERGE

  • RESETs primary guest liaison ensuring personalized memorable experiences from arrival to departure.

GUEST EXPERIENCES PROGRAM

  • Designs a Guest Experiences Program with bespoke itineraries including on and off site healing sessions horseback riding local and private dining guided nature experiences and community events.
  • Oversees VIP care with intentional discreet hospitality.

EVENT PRODUCER

  • Designs and launches RESETs music social and community programming.

MUSIC PROGRAMMING

  • Creates and curates RESETs music programming blending emerging and established artists across genres.
  • Partners with promoters labels artists to book talent.
  • Develops seasonal music calendar including live performances DJ residencies and intimate sessions.
  • Manages talent submissions vetting and scheduling artists.

SOCIAL & COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING

  • Creates and produces culturally immersive social programming that reflects the soul of the Mojave and draws from global to local art wellness and creative communities.
  • Examples of social/community programming:
    • Slow Sundays- sound baths poolside yoga guided meditation
    • In Session- wellness series related to mental health
    • Clubhouse Market- elevated artisan pop ups featuring independent designer apparel jewelry beauty/wellness
    • Supper Club- community dinner that donates portion of sales to local nonprofits/orgs
    • WOMAN POWER- femme voices of the Mojave conversations and workshops

ARTIST IN RESIDENCY PROGRAM

  • Designs and launches RESETs artist in residency program offering selected artists immersive stays to create collaborate document and exhibit their work.
    • Facilitates public facing events such as studio visits exhibitions and performances.
    • Connects artists with local community and landscape for environment based creative development.
    • Manages all logistics hospitality and programming related to residencies.

WEDDINGS/CELEBRATIONS/RETREATS/EVENTS/BRAND ACTIVATIONS/POP UPS

    • Engages with client to understand event vision objectives preferences and budget constraints.
    • Develops event concepts layouts and schedules.
    • Identifies and collaborates with vendors such as planner caterer photographer event rentals floral designer musician/DJ transportation etc to ensure seamless event execution.
      • Act as liaison to manage proposals contracts and correspondence with vendors.
    • Creates and presents custom proposal cost of services and contract.
    • Creates and manages event budgets ensuring all expenses are tracked and within allocated limits.
    • Oversees event logistics including site visits venue setup AV requirements and transportation coordination.
      • Create schedules and meeting deadlines.
      • Maintain comprehensive checklist for each area of event.
    • Oversees install and monitoring of events to ensure they run seamlessly addressing any issues promptly to maintain client satisfaction.
    • Conducts post-event meetings with team to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience in sales business development or event management within the hospitality industry.

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue goals.

  • Strong knowledge of experiential travel hotel markets and the Joshua Tree region (or similar destination).

  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with clients vendors and local partners.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to design and implement unique guest experiences.

  • Highly organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems sales platforms and event management tools.
