The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in supporting both electrical and mechanical production machinery by performing preventive maintenance completing corrective orders and addressing unscheduled emergency repairs. Additionally the technician is responsible for managing various facility-related processes including HVAC systems chilled water systems compressed gases and security/safety systems. This role requires strict adherence to the established safety guidelines of the facility maintaining accurate records and completing all necessary documentation. Strong interpersonal skills are essential as this position involves providing support to a diverse range of internal customers.

What You Will Do

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment used in the production process to maximize machine uptime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
  • Maintain facility related processes including HVAC chilled water compressed gases and security/safety systems.
  • Work within guidelines of facility safety system. Maintain records online and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Must be capable of lifting/handling heavy parts material or equipment.
  • Working from heights may be required.
  • Must be able to travel 1-2 times per year for training as required.
  • Partner with Engineers to find efficiencies and opportunities to improve performance of equipment/processes.
  • Set priorities under general direction based on workload.
  • Use strong inter-personal skillset to support a multitude of customers.
  • Must furnish own hand tools.
  • Must be willing and able to work 2nd Shift.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • HS the absence of a HS diploma or GED 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must be capable of safely working on electrical systems up to 480V (Electrical Safe Work Practices RC-ESH-P-308) instrumentation and control systems and mechanical systems.
  • Must be capable of acquiring a forklift license and maintain a valid drivers license.
  • Must pass the Certified Electronics Technician Associate (CETa) exam from Electronics Technicians Association International (ETA-I).
